How's it going, Reader? I am going to tell you something a little personal, because it explains everything about how I run my 7-figure business. I have GAD (generalized anxiety disorder), and the way I manage it is by planning, not casually but obsessively, to the point where I have a plan for my plan. π I have a personalized Erin Condren Grogu planner and a truly unreasonable collection of stickers, washi tape, and gel pens, and laying out a week in color is genuinely one of the most calming things I do all month. Yes, my planner even has the rainbow coil add-on. π For a long time, I assumed that was just a silly quirk of mine, but I have come to think it is the actual reason I have built a business that is so successful. π Maybe what my brain needs most to settle down is the same thing most businesses are missing: a plan written down before anyone needs it. But the time cost of planning has changed drastically. Planning a launch properly used to take me two full weeks or more of deciding, writing, second-guessing, and rewriting. Because those two weeks always landed in November, the calm I got out of planning came at the price of every evening in the month I most wanted to be present for.
I am already planning to run it again for the other deadline launches I have coming this year, because now that takes minutes instead of a fortnight. It does not cure the anxiety, since nothing really does, but it removed one of the biggest things that used to feed it. Better still, it gave me back the hours I would otherwise have spent at the kitchen table at midnight, which is time I would much rather spend with my son, Bryan, and my furbabies. That is what I want for you most too.
If you plan it in October, that work happens on a Tuesday afternoon with a cup of coffee while nothing is on fire, and then you close the laptop. If you put it off, the exact same work still gets done, except now it is 11 at night in the last two weeks of November, your family is in the other room, and the house needs cleaning before everyone comes over. The work never gets smaller by waiting, but it only gets harder. We both know that all that Black Friday work then lands squarely on the 4 weeks of the year you most wanted to enjoy. π One of my Inner Circle students said it better than I can:
βThe Anti-Doorbuster System is what does that planning for you. π₯° Here's how it works:
Your 6-week runway starts on October 12, which is 19 days from now, and deciding this while you still have that runway is what buys you a calm holiday instead of a frantic one. It is $97 right now, down from $297, through Sunday, September 28. Grab it here: antidoorbuster.comβ Becky P.S. If you are the kind of person who color codes a planner and somehow still feels behind, this was built by someone exactly like you, and the stickers remain entirely optional. π¦ βYes! How's it going, Reader? Before I ran my own 7-figure digital products and coaching business, I spent years building systems and machine learning for Fortune 500 companies like Verizon and American Airlines. I was on the team that trained servers how to repair themselves so that break-fix technicians didn't need to be on call 24/7. One of the most memorable things I ever saw there was an automated server with no guardrails started breaking itself on purpose, just to have more work to do. π It...
How's it going, Reader? I need to confess something. Years ago, when the Instant Pot first got popular, and everyone in my feed was suddenly pressure cooking whole chickens in nine minutes, I wanted one badly enough that I got up before dawn on Black Friday and stood in a line outside a store in the cold. For a pot. I remember thinking, very seriously, that this was a responsible financial decision. And I got it. π $40 off, which felt like winning something. I carried that box to my car like...
How's it going, Reader? You have seen the footage. Every year around Black Friday, the news runs the same clips of crowds pressing against store doors at five in the morning, and every few years someone gets hurt badly enough to make the national broadcast. That is what a doorbuster is designed to do. Price something below cost, open the doors, and let the stampede do the marketing. Here is the thing. That strategy belongs to big box stores, and it only works because they can afford to lose...
